Become an Urban Missionary. We supply the Rent Free Apartment you supply the heart ! Have you always wanted to make a real impact on the urban scene ? Freestyle Missions allows you to do just that ! Through our ministry partners we place a missionary team, (a married couple, family, or two single adults) into apartment communities to assist management in building community and serving residents . These teams receive a rent free apartment and commit to helping create a sense of community by welcoming new residents, hosting community events, and serving residents.Step 2: Phone InterviewStep 4: InterviewStep 1: ApplyThe Final StepAfter both you and your teammate complete a Quick App, you will be contacted by a representative within two business days. The representative will review the program with you and be available to answer any questions you have about the program.After all of the documents have been processed, an interview will be scheduled with you and your team member during business hours and will last about 2 hrs.If you accept the open apartment community that has been selected, a placement interview will be scheduled with the apartment manager. This interview will be scheduled during business hours and will last approximately one hour. Both teammates will need to be present at the inteview. If all parties are in agreement after the manager interview, a move in date will be scheduled.The first step in the application process is to fill out a "Quick App". The App" is completed online and takes approximately 20 minutes to fill out. Completing a Quick App does not lock you into the application process. It is the best method for getting more information to see if the program is right for you.Step 3: Final DocsStep 5: OrientationIf after the phone interview you decide to continue with the application process you will be asked to complete the Final Docs. This is an indepth application where you will be asked to submit references and we will complete a standard criminal background check and credit check.You will attend a group orientation training. This will be an all day Saturday event so you can see the "Big Picture" and learn some details on what it takes.TEAM QUALIFICATIONSCalled to model the Christian life in an apartment communityHave a mature Christian walk and an ability to share your faithActive in a Bible-based churchEnjoy meeting new people and planning social activitiesCommit to serve for at least 12 monthsCommit $125 per mo. per team member to the ministryA QUALIFIED TEAMTeams consist of two team members.
