Is the poorest nation in the western hemisphere. 80% of the people are unemployed. People are living in horrible unsanitary conditions, and 1/3 or all their diseases come from unhealthy contanimated water. The spiritual conditions are just as bad. Most people in Haiti practice some form of Voodu. Last year we had an amazing trip to Port-au-Prince Haiti. We were busy everyday going to schools, churches and orphanages. Every night we had a Festival/Crusade in a soccer stadium where there was music, skits, the Word and prayer! We visited the school that collapsed in November, 2008. We had a service there and ministered to those who lost their kids in the disaster. Click here to see pics and video from a NY Times article. God has done miracles in peoples lives in the midst of loss!Special thanks to On the Go, Missions Without Borders, NGA and all the others that participated in the Haiti mission! |
